A simple meal in a restaurant usually costs up to 3000 kronor, so eating is one of your main expenses. Transportation in Iceland is usually by car and can be rented.
One way to save on accommodation costs is to rent a car that you can sleep in, for example, a van or a caravan. Iceland has many camps spread all over the country.
